But as Roland and Maud track the elusive romance across the British countryside, the two scholars soon find themselves tangled in a love affair of their own.
Director Neil LaBute moves seamlessly from past to present to portray parallel love stories, in this beautiful and passionate adaptation of A.S. Byatt`s Booker Prize winning novel, which also stars Jeremy Northam (Gosford Park) and Jennifer Ehle (This Year`s Love).
